Easy Chocolate Banana Bread

This chocolate banana bread is as tasty as it is easy! And best of all, you’re likely to have all the ingredients in your pantry already.

Ingredients

  • 10 medjool dates, seeds removed

  • 3 ripe bananas, peeled and quartered (the flesh of mine weighed 360 grams)

  • 3 tablespoons cacao or cocoa

  • 3 cups almond meal

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 150C

  • Grease and line a loaf tin with baking paper.

  • Put all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend at high speed until the mixture is smooth and very well combined.

  • Spoon the mixture into your prepared loaf tin, smooth over the top with the back of a spoon and bake for one hour.

  • Remove from the oven and cool in the tin for 30 minutes before gently transferring to a cooling rack.

  • This cake is delicious warm, but the longer it cools the more the centre of the cake will set.

  • Store in the fridge.
